Responsibilities

- Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts and models to anticipate future financial needs and trends, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Variance Analysis: Monitor budget variances, identify discrepancies, and work with relevant departments to address and rectify budgetary issues.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to management, highlighting key financial metrics and areas for improvement.
- Cost Control: Implement cost control measures, identify areas of potential savings, and recommend strategies to optimize financial resources.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and procedures, providing guidance to departments on budgetary compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, finance teams, and stakeholders to gather information, address concerns, and facilitate effective budget management.
Skills Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Additional certifications such as Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) are advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in budget analysis, financial planning, or a related role, demonstrating proficiency in financial management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Financial Modeling: Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic financial planning.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in budget preparation, analysis, and reporting.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with financial software and tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and budgeting software.
